Tufts Part-Time Faculty Union Wins Raises On New Five year Deal

A planned strike by hundreds of part-time faculty at Tufts University got cancelled Wednesday when a tentative new labor agreement was reached.
SEIU Local 509 says the five year tentative deal improves wages and teaching conditions for the part-time faculty. Part-time faculty at Tufts voted to unionize in 2014.
More than half of the part-time faculty will see pay raises of 22.5 percent over the five year agreement. Others will ge ta minimum of 12.5 percent pay hikes.
